The step before the app that hurts.

A moment of friction before you open an app or site that can be triggering, like a fitness app or Instagram, for someone living with anorexia. One slow breath, one sealed card, and a way through that always works.

Going in is always a real option · not treatment, and not a substitute for a person in the room

What it does

One slow breathYou arrive mid-breath, and both buttons are real: do something else, or go in.
A sealed cardYou don't get to pick it. Tapping before you know what's behind it's the practice. Each card is small and absorbing, and never about food, bodies or numbers.
Going in always worksThere's no wall to fight. A wall turns into a control fight, and control fights get worked around.
In front of the app that hurtsAn iPhone Shortcuts automation puts The Door in front of the app you choose, a fitness tracker, Instagram or anything else that pulls you somewhere bad. It takes about two minutes to set up.
This isn't helpingAn exit on every screen. Feeling worse is named as a normal outcome and pointed toward a person, not hidden.
